The Namco System 12 is a 32-bit arcade system board developed jointly by Namco and Sony Computer Entertainment that was released in 1996. It was developed using the same configuration as the Namco System 11 (which itself was based on a prototype of the PlayStation), but with the CPU operating frequency increased 1.5 times and higher memory capacity. The board was first publicly used for Tekken 3, which was released in March 1997.
