BlitzRift

BlitzRift is a PvPvE space extraction shooter for small groups of friends. You are a Blitzer: a hired hand flying a spacecraft through a dense asteroid belt for a corporate syndicate. Break rocks, siphon gems into your hold and bank them at your home port. Everything you carry spills out when you die, and loaded ships trail dust that anyone can read from across the belt. Rifts open on a schedule with the richest gems inside and pull hard on anyone who lingers. The alien Hive mines the same belt, and a loaded Forager is worth more than any rock. Rival syndicates compete for the same claims. Pick a syndicate, drop into a hosted sector with your Steam friends and fly home with the lead. Cockpit first, gamepad first, keyboard and mouse welcome. Online play uses hosted cloud sectors; offline practice is included.

Humanity reached the stars. The quarterly targets followed. Sponsored syndicates hire Blitzers to work mineral claims in a belt that may be more than it looks. Gems fund the run. What the belt is for is an open question.
