Border Empires

Set in another part of the galaxy, you find yourself on a planet competing against others of the aristocracy, for the glory of the empire. Border Empires is a persistent multiplayer 4X strategy game set in a futuristic steam punk themed universe. Players explore a shared planet by expanding their realm. The game is centered around map control and securing the resources and bodies of the planet. Finding and harnessing the rare powers of the aether can be crucial in securing victory. Players can pursue multiple paths to victory, including economic dominance, control of a majority of the towns, resource monopolies, maritime supremacy, and diplomatic influence. The world continues to evolve while players are offline, with a slower real-time pace designed around checking in, making strategic decisions, and watching an empire develop over time.
