The Woolsey Fan Company, currently run by its sole member Polinym, is dedicated to the idea of returning to the “good ol’ days” of localization; the days where you didn’t have to know anything about Japan or Japanese to appreciate a game (exceptions are made for games ABOUT Japan, where the game is instead a learning opportunity). Dialogue should not sound like dry subtitles where being literal/accurate is chosen over enjoyability. The WFC also alters content so the game will be appropriate for its intended audience. Regardless of the audience, localized games will never contain content like swearing, lewd humor, suggestive themes, or blasphemy.
