RetroMesh is a custom-built 3D game engine developed by Jarle Adolfsen at Jatech Games.
Inspired by the early era of real-time 3D graphics, RetroMesh combines polygon-based rendering, procedural terrain generation, physics-based movement, collision detection and particle effects.
The engine was developed from scratch without relying on commercial game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
RetroMesh powers The Omega Strain (2026), a retro-inspired 3D arcade shooter influenced by classics such as Zarch and Virus.
