There the wicked ruler Wizeman schemes to steal the glowing spheres of dream energy known as Ideya, hoping to gather enough power to conquer Nightopia and, ultimately, the waking world. To carry out his plans he creates flying servants called Nightmaren, but one of them, the graceful and rebellious Nights, defies him and is imprisoned as punishment. Meanwhile, two troubled teenagers from the city of Twin Seeds, the aspiring singer Claris and the young basketball player Elliot, suffer stinging failures by day and are drawn into Nightopia as they sleep. Discovering they each possess the rare Red Ideya of Courage, they free Nights and join forces with the exiled dreamer. Together they take flight to reclaim the stolen Ideya and stop Wizeman before his darkness spreads.
